MALATHION

Chemical Name:Diethyl(dimethoxythiophosphorylthio)succinate
Empirical Formula:
Melting point: 2.85℃
Vapor pressure: 5.3 mPa at 30℃
Corrosive properties:Corrosive to iron
Solubility:In water at 25℃, 145mg/l. Miscible with most organic solvents, e.g. alcohols, esters, ketones, ethers, aromatic hydrocarbons.

◆ Application:
Non-systemic insecticide and acaricide with contact, stomach, and respiratory action. Broad-spectrum control of sucking and chewing insects and spider mites on fruits, vines, ornamentals, vegetables, field crops, glasshouse crops, and in forestry. Control of insect pests in stored grain and in empty sacks, warehouses, storerooms, etc. Control of insect disease vectors (including adult mosquitoes) in public health programmes. Control of flies and other insect pests in animal and poultry houses. Also used as animal ectoparasiticide, and for control of human body head lice. Rate: 0.27-5.6 kg a.i./ha
